这面大气磅礴的丹霞赤壁，长约500米，高约90米，象一幅锦绣多彩的巨大天然屏风，坐落在九龙潭景区入口。岩壁受EN向断裂控制，沿垂直裂隙崩塌、风化形成小型洞穴、岩槽和顺层凹槽。这种赤壁、岩槽、洞穴组合的丹霞赤壁，被称为“复合型崖壁”。
[Jiulong Red Cliff Wall]—micro-geomorphology assemblage at cliff face
This grand and magnificent red cliff is about 500 meters long and 90 meters high, resembling a splendid giant screen, which is sitting at the entrance of Jiulong Pool Scenic Area. The cliff wall runs along a northeast-striking fault. On the cliff face, caves, cavities, and elongate along-bedding troughs can be observed subsequently formed by weathering and collapsing along those vertical joints. A cliff with a combination of red cliff, rock troughs, and caves is called as “micro-geomorphology assemblage at cliff face”, as displayed at this scenic spot.
